| Who should seal my natural stone for me? |
|
You can apply standard sealers yourself. Caution is strongly advised. Even some of the PROS do not know how to properly seal stone. You have to be very careful of the surroundings. Some sealers are solvent based and can destroy the finish on cabinets, walls and floors. Good ventilation and a respirator is necessary when using these types of sealers. You will also need to wear nitrite gloves. Sealers have tiny particles that can get into the pores of your skin and eventually into your bloodstream causing all sorts of health issues. Follow manufacturers directions and be sure to remove all the excess sealer from the stone. If not done correctly, you will end up with streaks, blotches and sticky spots.Granite Shield can only be applied by an authorized applicator such as Stone Seal to ensure a valid lifetime warranty. |
